Bio

Mike Cannizzaro is the senior Science & Technology (S&T) advisor at the Synthetic Training Environment Cross Functional Team in Orlando Florida. 

He is responsible for coordinating S&T projects from across the Department of Defense into the STE strategic roadmap.

Mike leads the planning of S&T investments to close capability gaps and identifies technology opportunities through continual discovery and experimentation.

Mike spent a majority of his career servings as a subject matter expert, branch chief and senior engineer in the DEVCOM C5ISR Center in electronic warfare and air/ground survivability equipment. He has over 15 years of Army S&T experience.

In 2019, he transitioned to the role of Technology Development division chief for the STE CFT in Orlando, Florida.

Mike has achieved a Bachelor of Computer Engineering degree from the University of Delaware and a Master of Computer Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology.
