Bio
Dr. Jeremy Lanman is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) in Orlando, Florida. PEO STRI executes a multi-billion dollar program annually, and staffed by more than 1,000 military, government civilian and service support contractors. The organization also manages Foreign Military Sales programs that support more than 65 countries. As CTO, Dr. Lanman is the principal advisor to the PEO on all science, technology, and enterprise architecture matters. A Hoosier native of Plainfield, Indiana, Dr. Lanman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Butler University, a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Modeling & Simulation from the University of Central Florida. Also, he is a graduate of the Army Management Staff College, and a Harvard Senior Executive Fellow. His awards and recognitions include the Army’s Superior Civilian Service Medal, the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service (3 awards), International Software Product Line Hall of Fame inductee, Department of Defense Value Engineering Award, and Under Secretary of the Army Lean Six Sigma Excellence Award. Dr. Lanman serves as a graduate scholar and adjunct professor at the University of Central Florida, Florida Institute of Technology, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is a proud member of the U.S. Army Civilian Corps and Acquisition Corps.
