Mr. Hutt is the Technical Advisor for Foundations Division at the Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS), Orlando FL. He is responsible for Enterprise Architectures and Innovations. He supports an agency with a multi-million dollar annual budget to drive innovation and interoperability in Modeling & Simulation (M&S) to improve warfighter readiness. AFAMS exercises direct liaison authority with Department of Defense, Combatant Commands, Joint and Air Force (AF) organizations, and other government agencies.
Early in his career, Mr. Hutt was an innovator/software engineer, working on advancing high-level critical systems and various forward-leaning efforts. In the evening he was an adjunct instructor and taught software programming.
Today he represents AFAMS at various M&S Enterprise forums on emerging technology initiatives. He strategically focuses the community toward establishing a MilVerse - synthetic environment that leverages a Data-Centric approach. Mr. Hutt collaborates with industry and various stakeholders to meet AF readiness requirements – from the Joint community, other services, coalition partners, & non DoD Agencies.
He pioneers new technical capabilities and works with others to oversee long-range planning activities that support the warfighter. He is a regular and active participant in many major organizations and conferences annually. Mr. Hutt collaborates with the functional communities on the following areas: requirements, technical readiness, concept exploration, commercial practices, and rapid software pathways/acquisition methods. As an early adopter, he is a strong proponent for Digital Airmen, Digital Engineering, Digital Operations and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) for the warfighter.
