Recap

On Thursday, July 10, NTSA hosted our annual Capitol Hill M&S Expo in the foyer of the Rayburn House Office Building.  The theme of this year’s expo was “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Modeling and Simulation:  Its Role in National Security”. A packed house of 16 exhibitors was able to demonstrate capabilities integrating AI with modeling, simulation and training with examples from healthcare, national defense and others. While the House was in an unexpected recess during this expo, the event was attended by over 400, with Hill Staff attending from over 30 Congressional offices around the Capitol. This event, like others through the year, provides opportunities to educate our lawmakers on the capabilities of our technologies, and their role in ensuring national security.

In addition to the Expo, the NTSA team worked with others in our community to meet with 15 Congressional offices to discuss the Army’s Transformation Initiative, our Patient Safety Working Group’s pilot project, and to request participation in the M&S Congressional Caucus. These meetings provided opportunities for small group discussion and education supporting our industry and community of practice.  We look forward to scheduling a Lunch and Learn session on the Hill in the Fall, along with additional key visits regarding AI.  Additionally, NTSA continues its planning of the Congressional visit to I/ITSEC 2025 and we look forward to welcoming our Caucus members to this key event in our industry.
