I/ITSEC 2025 Draws 55 Nations to Orlando for Four Days of Training Innovation
(ARLINGTON, VA) - The global modeling and simulation community returned to Orlando in force as I/ITSEC 2025 wrapped up four days of collaboration, innovation, and thought-provoking discussion. Attendance was strong this year, with close to 16,000 participants coming together to advance the theme: “Optimizing Training: Ensuring Operational Dominance.”
The conference opened with a fireside chat featuring Hon. Michael Duffey, Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (USD(A&S)), who highlighted the Department’s commitment to accelerating innovation and strengthening the training and simulation enterprise.
I/ITSEC 2025 welcomed 8,367 exhibit visitors, 4,298 conference attendees, and 7,112 exhibit personnel, alongside 502 exhibiting companies across 463 exhibit spaces, filling 216,200 net square feet of the show floor. Technologies on display ranged from advanced immersive training systems to AI-enabled instructor tools and live-virtual-constructive integration capabilities.
International participation remained strong, with 2,096 attendees from 55 countries. Among this year’s notable announcements, Taiwan’s fighter jet developer Aerospace Industrial Development Corp. (AIDC) signed a software integration and distribution agreement with U.S. geospatial intelligence firm Vantor Technologies to enhance drone positioning accuracy.
“Operational dominance is built on partnership—between government, industry, and academia. That partnership was again at the heart of this year’s I/ITSEC,” said VADM Sean S. Buck, USN (Ret.), president of NTSA. “Modeling and simulation connect innovation to application, transforming ideas into action and ensuring our forces remain trained, adaptive, and ready for tomorrow’s challenges.”
Looking ahead, the U.S. Army will serve as the host service for I/ITSEC 2026, taking place 30 November – 3 December under the theme: “Beyond the Battlefield: Training Readiness and Lethality for All-Domain Dominance!”.
