ORLANDO, FL — The National Training & Simulation Association (NTSA) celebrated winners of the prestigious Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Awards on 2 December at the 2025 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) in Orlando, the world’s largest event for modeling, simulation, and training.
The awards recognize individuals and teams whose innovation and technical excellence have advanced modeling and simulation capabilities across defense, security, and public-safety missions.
NTSA Lifetime Achievement in Modeling & Simulation
Dr. Margaret L. Loper, Georgia Tech Research Institute
Dr. Loper’s four decades of pioneering work in distributed simulation, standards development, and M&S education have left an enduring imprint on the global modeling and simulation community.
NTSA Modeling & Simulation Award Winners
Education and Human Performance: Ms. Moza Juma Ahli, Dubai Police
Ms. Ahli introduced a behavior-focused, KPI-aligned training evaluation model that delivered measurable performance and public safety gains across Dubai Police operations.
Training Systems Acquisition: Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) MV-75 Virtual Prototype Team
The FLRAA Virtual Prototype Team created full-scale, immersive virtual prototypes that accelerate design insight, reduce program risk, and prepare Soldiers for the Army’s future long-range assault aircraft.
Simulation and Training: ASSET Team, Air Force Institute of Technology
The ASSET Team developed a high-fidelity EO/IR simulation tool that enables unclassified data generation at scale, reducing cost, accelerating development, and strengthening OPIR and missile-defense missions.
